The action-packed music video sees Lovato and Rodriguez as female badasses who start off as enemies and end up as friends.

AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato's "Confident" music video could make it as the trailer to an action-packed movie. The video, which was premiered on Friday, October 9, is directed by "Spy Kids" and "Sin City" helmer Robert Rodriguez and stars also Michelle Rodriguez.

Video kicks off with a prison scene where Lovato is offered a pardon in place of outing Rodriguez's character. Lovato agrees to the terms made by the U.S. marshal and gets a permanent stamp on her wrist. She sets out to catch Rodriguez but the target knows only too well about the plan.

As Lovato gets ushered back to the maximum security prison, she manages to escape and confront Rodriguez. A fistfight between the two occurs before they both realize that the marshal has been playing both them. The foes become friends and they team up for a revenge.

"Confident" is the latest single lifted from Lovato's forthcoming fifth album of the same name. The track was written by Lovato in collaboration with Savan Kotecha, Ilya Salmanzadeh and Max Martin. The album will be released on October 16, featuring such rapper guests as Iggy Azalea and Sirah.
