Jim Carrey reportedly has offered to help pay for his late ex-girlfriend Cathriona White's body to be flown back to her native Ireland. Reports mention, the funnyman is doing everything he can to help her family, including helping out financially.

"Jim is doing everything he can to help," a source has been quoted as telling PEOPLE. "He is devastated, but can't imagine how her family must feel."

The source, moreover, revealed that as White's stepmother and sister arrived in Los Angeles on Tuesday, September 29 to make arrangements to bring her body back home to her native Ireland, "Jim arranged for his driver to pick up Cathriona's family from LAX. Her family has access to his car during this awful visit to L.A.," said the source. Carrey is "helping out financially as well," the source added.

"Jim visited Cathriona's house last night to help her sister Lisa," stated the source. "Jim has spent time with Lisa in the past during her Los Angeles visits. He feels it's his obligation to do whatever he can to help Lisa."

Notwithstanding White's apparent suicide and her on-off romance with Carrey, White's family has no hard feelings for the star. They currently are simply searching for answers as to what could have happened. "They are all just shocked," the source revealed to PEOPLE. "No one [from her family] is putting any blame on Jim."

White's body was discovered at her home in Sherman Oaks, California on September 28. She was 28. Meanwhile, officials have confirmed that an autopsy to determine White's cause of death is still undergoing.
