AceShowbiz - Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are teaming up to produce new movie "Thirst (2016)" at HBO. "Thirst" expands the two actors' relationship with HBO where they executive produce a revival of their documentary filmmaking series "Project Greenlight".

The new project, described as a multilayered story set against the backdrop of the global water crisis, is written by Charles Leavitt ("Blood Diamond") and directed by Elliott Lester ("Nightingale"). Matt and Ben will serve as exec producers alongside Elliott, Josh Weinstock, Jennifer Todd and Drew Vinton while Charles and Margaret Chernin will co-executive produce.

Matt and Ben said in a joint statement, "We are thrilled to be working with HBO on this project; we cannot think of a better partner to handle this type of film. Both Elliott and Chuck are creative forces who bring an extraordinary vision to the material and we are very excited to be a part of it."
