Kendall Jenner is joining "Rock the Vote" campaign to raise awareness of the importance of voting. The 19-year-old model appeared in a new video by Independent Journal where she changed her clothes before the camera while explaining the struggle women experienced in the past to gain their rights to vote.
At the beginning of the video, the pretty model stood still and sported a brown dress with plunging neckline, black long coat and a big hat. As she looked at the camera, her voice could be heard narrating the importance of voting.
"Every day, we vote. We're able to express our opinions online with links and hashtags," Kendall said. "But when it comes to the right to vote, it always hasn't been that easy, especially for women." Some ladies then came to her and took off every piece of her outfit, leaving her with black lingerie.
Sporting the black lingerie, Kendall explained the history of suffragettes, "In 1848, women who wanted to vote had designed declaration of settlement. This women were called suffragettes. Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton started the National Women's Suffrage Association in 1869."
Kendall then put on a ripped gray T-shirt. "Suffragettes took the fight nationwide, starting state-by-state campaigns pushing for women's rights to vote," she said. "Because of suffragettes and their battle, gender doesn't matter. But your vote always can. I'm Kendall Jenner. I'm 19 and I'm here to rock the vote."
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star also appeared in a video posted on the campaign's Instagram page to celebrate the National Voter Registration Day. "Hey, guys! It's Kendall. I'm on the set today with 'Rock the Vote' in honor of National Voter Registration Day. Take two minutes to celebrate NVRD by registering online today," said Kendall who donned a neutral makeup.
