AceShowbiz - Rachel Platten is clearly trying to repeat the success of "Fight Song". On Friday, September 11, the singer returned with a new single called "Stand by You", which is another empowering tune with earwormy chorus and potential to be a hit.
The track was co-written by Jack Antonoff of Fun. and Bleachers. On it, Platten sings about always being there for her loved one through the hard times. "Even if we're breaking down, we can find a way to break through/ Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through hell with you/ Love, you're not alone, cause I'm gonna stand by you," she coos.
Platten scored her biggest single so far with "Fight Song", which peaked at No. 6 on Billboard Hot 100. The track as well as "Stand by You" will appear on her upcoming debut album which is expected to come out later this year or early 2016 via Columbia Records.
