The Weeknd is accused of stealing the concept of his "Can't Feel My Face" music video. Director Mitch Moore claims that the video is a rip-off of an unreleased clip by Montreal-based band Majical Cloudz which he helped create last year.

Moore pointed out the "uncanny" similarities between his music video and The Weeknd's in an Instagram post he shared on Monday night, August 25. He said that although the video he helmed for Majical Cloudz ended up being shelved due to creative differences, the production was large and edits of the video were shared among peers for feedback.

Moore alleged that someone who worked with The Weeknd on his video found out about the edits and used the concept for "Can't Feel My Face".

"It's come to my attention that some body at the helm of a certain mega popular video must have seen one or more of these unreleased edits. The resemblance is too uncanny. My mind is a mansion of creativity, so this petty theft is nbd to me. But I'm still calling the police!!" he wrote.

"Can't Feel My Face" is a track off The Weeknd's new album, "Beauty Behind the Madness", which is coming out on August 28. The song peaked at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100. Its music video was directed by Grant Singer and was released last month.
