Lily-Rose Depp, the daughter of actor Johnny Depp, addresses her sexuality in an inspiring Instagram post. She appeared in a photo posted by photographer iO Tillett Wright to promote his We Are You: Self Evident Truths project.
Wearing "We Are You" T-shirt, Lily-Rose is getting a piggyback from iO in the image. The photographer captioned it, "I'm so proud of my baby girl @lilyrose_depp. She decided she wanted to be in @selfevidentproject because she falls somewhere on the vast spectrum, and I couldn't be happier to welcome her to the family. She's a tiny gem of a good human. #prouduncle #weareyou."
The 16-year-old actress/model is featured in another photo showing her with two other people wearing the same shirt. She shared the picture via her Instagram account and simply captioned it with "#weareyou @iolovesyou @selfevidentproject."
The organization started by iO is aimed to "help young people feel good being true to themselves." Model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne, who has been open about her sexuality, has previously taken part in the project.
The "Paper Towns" star wrote along with one of her pictures wearing the signature shirt, "Doesn't matter who you are or what you believe it, we are one! Go get yourself one of these shirts right now! I'm late for National Coming Out Day but better late than never. Don't be scared to be who you are."
According to the organization description on its Vimeo page, "the Self Evident Truths project is a photographic document of 10,000 people in the USA that identify as ANYTHING OTHER than 100|percent| straight - as in, if you are anywhere on the LGBTQ spectrum in ANY way, even 1|percent| gay, we want to take your picture!"
