Tomas (Franco) is a writer who deals with depression after a car accident sets off his life and work in a completely new direction.

AceShowbiz - The first trailer for drama "Every Thing Will Be Fine" has debuted online, just a few weeks ahead of its North American premiere at Toronto International Film Festival 2015. The movie highlights the story of Tomas, a writer whose life takes a tragic turn following a car accident.

The nearly-two-minute trailer opens with Tomas (James Franco) driving his car on a snowy country road. His car suddenly strikes something which turns out to be a sled. While Tomas feels relieved because the boy on the sled is safe, he later finds out that the boy's brother is killed in the accident.

Tomas falls into a depression and tries to give meaning to his life again. He chronicles all of those tragedies in a book after he decides to start writing again. As time goes by, everything becomes more complicated as he promises to do everything that helps the boy's mother. Amidst the guilt and the search for forgiveness, Tomas' relationship with his girlfriend (Rachel McAdams) breaks down. "No one ever hurt me the way you did," McAdams' character says while slapping Tomas' face.

The film also stars Marie-Josee Croze and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Wim Wenders is directing from a script written by Bjorn Olaf Johannessen. The movie will have a wide release in the U.S. later this year.
