Disney released two posters which features two different characters and additionally displayed the costumes of Alice, White Queen, Red Queen and Mad Hatter in D23 Expo 2015 in Anaheim.

AceShowbiz - It has been a year since Disney's "Alice Through the Looking Glass" started filming, but there are only a few of details about the film. In D23 Expo 2015, the studio offered a first look at some characters, releasing two posters and displaying the costumes used in the movie.

The two posters depict the same scene featuring two different characters. The first one features Alice standing on a trail of rocks while staring at the sky. She floats on water seemingly in a windy place. Although the poster is not really clear, the character in the poster is very likely to be Alice since she has blonde hair. Another poster looks much the same with the first one. It features Mad Hatter standing at the same spot against the camera.

The expo also gave a look at Victorian-era costumes of some characters in the movie. The red and white dresses belong to Red Queen and White Queen respectively while two other dresses belong to Alice. There are also two costumes of Hatter which are labeled as "adventure look" and "celebration look."

The sequel to 2010's "Alice in Wonderland" brings back Mia Wasikowska as the title character of Alice Kingsleigh, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter (Hatter Tarrant Hightopp), Anne Hathaway as the White Queen (Mirana) and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen (Iracebeth). The cast also includes the likes of Matt Lucas, Rhys Ifans, Mark Rylance, Toby Jones, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Barbara Windsor. Directed by James Bobin, the fantasy movie is slated for a U.S. release on May 27, 2016.

Disney is currently developing or filming live-action adaptations of many other animated classics, including "Aladdin", "Beauty and the Beast (2017)", "Dumbo", "The Jungle Book", "Mulan", "Pinocchio (2017)" and "Winnie the Pooh (2017)", among several other titles.
