Hailee Steinfeld has premiered the official music video of her debut single, "Love Myself". The actress-turned-pop star is a fierce, independent young lady as she promotes self-empowerment in the Hannah Lux Davis-directed visuals arriving online on Friday, August 14.
Steinfeld is seen donning a black leotard with the words "self service" written on it while she sings and dances on a rooftop with the city skyline in the background. Meanwhile, some random people on the street below show off their own moves in front of a mirror featuring the hashtag "lovemyself."
Written by Steinfeld along with Julia Michaels, "Love Myself" was released last week as the lead single off the "Pitch Perfect 2" star's upcoming debut album, which is expected to hit the stores later this year on Republic Records.
"It is ultimately about taking care of and indulging yourself. Though it's nice to have someone provide for you - whether that be emotionally, or physically, or with material things - this song really represents the power in providing for yourself," she explained the song in a recent chat on "On Air With Ryan Seacrest".
