Report: Ben Affleck Signs on for Three Solo Batman Movies

The 'Gone Girl' actor reportedly impresses WB's executives with his performance in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'.

AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck has reportedly signed a "golden deal" with Warner Bros. to appear in multiple stand-alone Batman movies. According to Den of Geek, the "Gone Girl" actor is offered an extended deal to reprise his superhero role in a new trilogy of the Caped Crusader flicks.

Rumor has it, the studio's bosses were impressed with Affleck's performance as The Dark Knight after watching "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in an early screening. The "near finished cut" reportedly got "standing ovation" from viewers that included the film's crew.

"Dawn of Justice" which pits Affleck's Batman against Henry Cavill's Man of Steel will make its way out Stateside on March 25, 2016. Affleck takes the mantle from Christian Bale. No Solo Batman movie has been announced so far but Affleck is expected to return for "Suicide Squad" and a two-part "Justice League" movie.
