Asa Butterfield Is Math Freak in 'A Brilliant Young Mind' First Trailer

AceShowbiz - The first trailer for drama "A Brilliant Young Mind" has surfaced online. The movie highlights a story about an unsociable mathematics freak who deals with an unfamiliar feeling he never experienced when he encounters his love interest.

Asa Butterfield plays Nathan, a genius boy who wants anything in his life to be as systematic as possible. His brilliant mind takes him to compete with other genius all over the world in an international mathematics competition.

Along with his team, Nathan is sent to a training camp in Taiwan, a place where he meets his Chinese counterpart, the beautiful Zhang Mei. His affection to Mei develops when he returns to England for the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) in Cambridge. "When somebody loves you, it means they see something in you," Nathan's mom says to him.

Butterfield stars in the movie alongside Academy Award nominee Sally Hakwins ("Happy-Go-Lucky", "Paddington") as well as Rafe Spall, Jo Yang, Eddie Marsan, Edward Baker-Close, Percelle Ascott, Alexa Davies and Alex Lawther. Morgan Matthews directs "A Brilliant Young Mind" with a script from James Graha. The movie will premiere in the U.S. on September 11.
