Future scores his first No. 1 album on Billboard 200 with "DS2". Announced just days before it was released on July 17, the rapper's third studio effort lands atop the list with 147,000 equivalent units collected in the tracking week ending on July 23, reports Nielsen Music.

With 121,000 pure album sales, "DS2" gives Future his best sales week yet. He posted his previous best-sales week last year, when "Honest" debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 53,000. His first full-length, 2012's "Pluto", came at No. 8 with 41,000.

Trailing behind Future is Taylor Swift, whose "1989" rises to No. 2 with additional 50,000 units. At No. 3, country singer Alan Jackson gets his 14th top 10 release as "Angels and Alcohol" arrives with 48,000.

Last week's No. 1, Tyrese Gibson's "Black Rose", falls to No. 4 with 47,000. Jason Isbell becomes another newcomer in the top 10 as his "Something More Than Free" comes at No. 5 with 41,000 units including 40,000 traditional album sales.

At No. 6, Meek Mill's "Dreams Worth More Than Money" slips from last week's No. 2 with 39,000. Tame Impala's "Currents" debuts at No. 7 with 38,000. Their previous album, 2012's "Lonerism", debuted and peaked at No. 34 with 12,000 sold in its first week.

Ed Sheeran's "X" falls three rungs to No. 8 with 32,000. Sam Hunt's "Montevallo" dips from No. 7 to No. 9 with 30,000 and the "Kidz Bop 29" album rounds out the top 10, plunging from last week's No. 4, with 24,000.
