The political comedy-drama which pits Bullock against Billy Bob Thornton will open on October 30 against Paramount's 'Scouts vs. Zombies' and Relativity's 'Autobahn'.

AceShowbiz - Sandra Bullock's "Our Brand Is Crisis" has a release date. The Warner Bros. political comedy-drama, which pits the Oscar-winning actress against Billy Bob Thornton, is now slated to hit U.S. theaters on October 30, the same day Paramount's "Scout's Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse" a.k.a. "Scouts vs. Zombies" and Relativity's "Autobahn" are coming.

Based on Rachel Boynton's 2005 documentary of the same name, "Crisis" stars Bullock as "Calamity" Jane Bodine, a political consultant who comes out of retirement to help an unpopular Bolivian president get re-elected. Things get worse when Jane's nemesis, Thornton's Pat Candy, arrives to lead the opposition's campaign.

The film was directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" scribe Peter Straughan. Smokehouse Pictures' George Clooney and Grant Heslov are producing.

In addition to Bullock and Thornton, the film features Anthony Mackie, Scoot McNairy, Zoe Kazan, Ann Dowd, Reynaldo Pacheco, Dominic Flores, Louis Arcella, Octavio Gomez Berrios and Joaquim de Almeida.
