'Fantastic Four': Toby Kebbell Reveals Doctor Doom's Connection to Doctor Storm
Movie

The 'Dead Man's Shoes' actor revealed the origin story of his villainous character, Doctor Doom, saying that he's connected to Doctor Storm.

AceShowbiz - While "The Fantastic Four" won't hit theaters until August 7, new details about the film keep coming out. In an interview with SuperHeroHype at San Diego Comic-Con, Toby Kebbell shared details about his role as Doctor Doom in the upcoming movie.

Kebbell explained how his character would be different from the previous movies. He hinted that the origin story of his character would not be explained in the movie.

"There's no conversation about [Doom's origins] in the film. We don't have time to talk about me - I would love it, but we don't have real time," Kebbel said. "Yeah, he's still from the same place, his mother is still a gypsy and done her deals, his father still perished from exposure looking after me. He's angry. He's an angry dude. But now he's in Baxter," he added.

The 33-year-old actor also explained that the villainous character would be a computer scientist, but not a hacker. "He's bright and he's trying to make people proud. He found a new father in Doctor Storm, the father of Johnny and adoptive father of Sue. I kind of get adopted as well, in a fantastic performance by Reg E. Cathey. And that's Doom as we see him. He's a computer technician, a computer scientist. There were rumors he was a hacker or something, but no. Victor Von Doom is who we hope he will be," Kebbel explained.

In another interview, Kebbel expressed his desire to integrate Doctor Doom into Marvel Cinematic Universe. He apparently wanted a person from Marvel Studios to make a deal with someone at Fox to put his character together with other Marvel heroes like Thor. "You know he destroys Thor. He punches up all those people. I don't know what the political... I can't get into this. You're going to write this, and I'm going to get destroyed. They're going to sue me, but look: can someone at Marvel and someone at Fox talk, and with Doom, just lend him out, like football?" he said.

The upcoming movie will feature Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell starring as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and Ben Grimm (The Thing) respectively. Josh Trank serves behind the lens while Matthew Vaughn, Hutch Parker, Simon Kinberg and Gregory Goodman produce the movie.
