The first trailer for adventure comedy "Goosebumps" has arrived. Based on a book of the same name by R.L. Stine, the movie centers on a group of youngsters who are dealing with creepy creatures which come to life after they are magically unleashed from the titular books.

The trailer opens with Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) moving into his new house in a small city. He meets his neighbor Hannah (Odeya Rush) who is a daughter of R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling "Goosebumps" series.

One night, Zach and his friend find Hannah screaming in her house and want to save her. "Hannah's in troubles. She's locked in her house. And her father is a psychopath," says Zach. The duo decides to come to Hannah's house where they find a lot of "Goosebumps" manuscripts with a lock in each book.

Curious about the famous books, they unlock one of the books and unfortunately release numerous of creepy monsters from the book. Abominable Snowman, hundreds of angry gnomes, and other monstrous creatures from fantasy world come to life and take over the region with their destructive actions. Zach, Hannah, R.L. and Zach's weird friend have to find a way to stop them and get them back into the books where they're supposed to be.

When stopping by "Good Morning America", lead actor Black talked about the movie, "The movie turned out dynamite, I'm so excited." He added, "The books are really funny and scary and exciting and we just wanted the movie to be as awesome and cool as the book series was and I think we cracked the code."

Rob Letterman serves behind the lens while Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz produce the movie. The comedy horror movie is slated for a U.S. release on October 16.
