AceShowbiz - Fans are less than a week from getting Demi Lovato's new single. On Thursday, June 25, the former Disney princess took to Twitter to officially announce that the song called "Cool for the Summer" would arrive on July 1 and share its sexy single cover.

"My new single is called #CoolForTheSummer and will be out July 1!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH," the singer wrote alongside the artwork featuring her posing in a turquoise one-piece teamed with a purple fur coat and a pair of yellow heels.

"Cool for the Summer" is the first offering from Lovato's upcoming album, which has yet to have a title and release date. It was co-written by hitmaker Savan Kotecha whom Lovato previously enlisted for her 2014 single "Really Don't Care" featuring Cher Lloyd.

The 22-year-old songbird hasn't said much about what the new single will sound like. However, some people who have heard it claim the track's very good. Sacramento radio host Christopher K, who leaked the song's title earlier this week, was even sure that the song would be the "Camp Rock" star's biggest hit yet.

"['Cool for the Summer' is] still a pop song, but her lyrics have some playful edginess to them," said the host. "[It] doesn't sound like anything she's done [before.] Wouldn't be surprised if it's biggest hit of her career so far!"
