The first eight minutes of 'Aloha' centers on a love triangle between Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, and Rachel McAdams.

AceShowbiz - Sonny Pictures debuted the first eight minutes of its upcoming movie, "Aloha", just a day before its release. The opening of the film introduces its main characters played by Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams.

The eight-minute video features a vintage-style opening with old music as the backsound. It continues with Cooper's character explaining his idea about NASA. "NASA was just another business looking for cash," he says in voiceover.

The video also highlights a love triangle between Cooper, Stone and McAdams's characters. Cooper stars as Brian Gilcrest, a disgraced military contractor completing a mission in Hawaii, while Stone plays Allison Ng, an Air Force pilot assigned to work with Gilcrest. As for McAdams, she portrays Tracy Woodside, a married woman with two children who is Gilcrest's ex-girlfriend.

The first eight minutes of the movie was released allegedly because the movie got bad reviews from many critics. It was shared in hopes that people will be interested and it can gain people's attention to watch the whole movie.

After the trailer of the movie was released, some critics gave negative opinion about the movie. "[Cameron Crowe, director] seems to have expunged all evidence of his distinctive filmmaking talents," one of the movie reviewers said. Another critic wrote in a review, "Unbalanced, unwieldy, and at times nearly unintelligible, 'Aloha' is unquestionably Cameron Crowe's worst film."

Ben Stiller and Reese Witherspoon were initially tapped to star in the project during its nascent stages before they were replaced with the current stars. Cooper, Stone and McAdams are joined by the likes of John Krasinski, Danny McBride, Alec Baldwin, Bill Murray and Ivana Milicevic. Produced by Crowe and Scott Rudin, the movie is slated to be released in the U.S. on May 29. "Aloha" marks Crowe's first movie since 2011's "We Bought a Zoo".
