The late blues legend daughters claimed that their father was 'poisoned' and 'murdered' by his manager Laverne Toney and his personal assistant Myron Johnson.

AceShowbiz - B.B. King's body was examined by coroner on Sunday, May 24 after his daughters Karen Williams and Patty King claimed their father was "poisoned" and "murdered" by his manager Laverne Toney and his personal assistant Myron Johnson. Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg confirmed on Monday that autopsy had been performed on B.B. but the result would not be available for up to eight weeks.

Karen and Patty said in a statement to The Associated Press through their lawyer Larissa Drohobyczer, "I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances. I believe my father was murdered." Larissa added, "The family is sticking together ... to oust Ms. Toney based on her illegal conduct, conflicts of interest and self-dealing." The lawyer claimed Laverne hastened B.B.'s death by "misconduct, or by failing to properly attend to his medical needs."

Both Laverne and Myron declined to comment on the allegations. "They've been making allegations all along. What's new?" said Laverne. Laverne was named in B.B.'s will as executor of an estate which could total tens millions of dollars.

B.B.'s lawyer Brent Bryson called Karen and Patty's allegations "ridiculous." Brent told the site, "I hope they have a factual basis that they can demonstrate for their defamatory and libelous allegations. This is extremely disrespectful to B.B. King. He did not want invasive medical procedures. He made the decision to return home for hospice care instead of staying in a hospital. These unfounded allegations have caused Mr. King to undergo an autopsy, which is exactly what he didn't want."

According to Lt. Ray Steiber, Las Vegas police homicide detectives are investigating the allegations.

B.B. will be buried in Indianola on Saturday, May 30.
