The 'Shake It Off' singer responds to an open letter sent on Mother's Day by a female fan who lost mom, saying she admires and respects her.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift again proves that she is a very caring figure to all of her loyal fans. The singer comforted a female fan named Kaileen who lost her mom via Tumblr in honor of Mother's Day.
Kaileen wrote an open letter to Taylor on Tumblr on the special day telling the songstress how hard Mother's Day for her after she lost her mother. "It's me, iced coffee girl, and I could really use a hug," Kaileen prefaced before recalling sweet memories with her mother.
She continued, "Today is Mother's Day, a day most people spend with their mothers thanking them for everything they do. But, for me, I can't spend this day with my mom because she's in heaven. Last January, my mom passed away and a piece of my heart left with her."
Kaileen said her mother was a best friend to her as she was the one that would always be there when Kaileen was both happy and desperate. Kaileen also said that her mother was the one she loved the most. Hence, after her mom died, Kaileen felt "empty."
Kailen claimed that Taylor helped her cope with her dark moment. "But as you've done many times before, you filled that hole. You took me out of my sad place and made me happy," Kaileen said. "And because of you, I got through something that was the hardest thing in the world for me."
After noticing the touching letter, Taylor wrote back to the unfortunate fan on her own Tumblr, offering her words of courage. "Kaileen- I love you so much and can't imagine what you must be feeling today," Taylor wrote in the letter. "You've lived through my worst fear. I'm so sorry you can't spend today with her."
Taylor praised the fan's toughness in facing her critical moment, saying, "It's not fair, and there's no reason why you should feel okay about it. No one should ever expect you to feel normal today. I admire and respect your ability to put forth such a sunny, sweet disposition when you've been through something so dark and tragic so recently."
Taylor ended the letter, "Sending you a huge hug today. Gonna go get iced coffee and cheers to you. :)."
