According to Kim, Rob's current private struggle is because of many 'circumstances in his life' including their father's death, 'certain breakups' and Khloe's split from Lamar Odom.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian opens up about the ongoing private struggle his brother Rob Kardashian has been going through. In a preview clip, obtained by E! News, of her upcoming interview with Matt Lauer on "Today", Kim says Rob "is not comfortable on his own skin."

"I think he's just going through a phase where he's not comfortable in his own skin," the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star tells Matt, "And he is working really hard to get back to where he really wants to be." Matt responds, "All kids, as you put it, go through phases," before asking Kim, "But is his phase being exacerbated by the fact that he is part of this very public, very famous family?"

"I don't necessarily think it's because of the fame," North West's mom replies, before explaining, "I think it's been circumstances in his life that he just really hasn't dealt with. Whether it's, you know, the loss of our father, or certain breakups, or, you know, he was extremely close to Lamar [Odom] and when, you know, Khloe and him broke up, that was really hard on him. So I think it was a couple things."

Last month, Rob made headlines after calling Kim "b***h." He posted on Instagram a photo of Rosamund Pike's psychopathic character in "Gone Girl" along with caption, "This is my sister kim , the b***h from Gone Girl,,,"

Khloe Kardashian previously explained Rob's lack of public appearance was due to "social anxiety." She told Wonderwall, "I just feel, especially over the last year, Rob has become very introverted and has a kind of social anxiety. He's definitely not at his happiest place that he once was, and I know he can get to that happy place and he will."

She added, "We all kind of get to a place where you don't know where to go in life or whatever, so I think it's important for him to know that he always has people to lean on and it's not unnatural for people to not know even where to begin. It's a growing process. I will always be his No. 1 supporter."
