The 'Lego Batman' will arrive in February 2017 before 'Ninjago' follows several months later and the sequel to 'The Lego Movie' comes out in the following year.

AceShowbiz - Warner Bros. maps out anew their expanding "Lego Movie" franchise. The studio announces a release date for "The Lego Batman Movie" and makes some adjustments for two others "Ninjago" and "The Lego Movie Sequel".

"Lego Batman" will be the first to hit theaters. It is scheduled to make its way out across the United States on February 10, 2017, following last year's "The Lego Movie" which became a big hit when coming to North American theaters on February 7.

Chris McKay serves as a director, and Will Arnett returns to voice the character. The story is still kept under wraps, but the movie is expected to acknowledge every era of Batman filmmaking. Producer Phil Lord also recently said "it's about 'can Batman be happy?' "

"Ninjago" gets shifted a year from September 23, 2016 to September 22, 2017. Charlie Bean ("Tron: Uprising") is attached to helm the movie which is confirmed to tie into a larger universe like Marvel did with The Avengers.

"Lego Movie Sequel" is also delayed for a year from May 26, 2017 to May 18, 2018. Rob Schrab ("Community") will sit behind the lens. "Lego Movie" directors Lord and Chris Miller who return as producers for all the upcoming "Lego" films once said it would take place four years after the events in the first film and have more female characters.

"We are very excited about dating our upcoming Lego animated features, which already have a worldwide fan following, built on the foundation of the first film," said Dan Fellman, WB's president of domestic distribution. "These three films already in the pipeline are just the beginning of a creative and diverse animation slate that will be delighting audiences for years to come."
