Michelle MacLaren allegedly couldn't agree with Warner Bros. on many things, including time period to set the movie and tiger pet for Diana Prince.

AceShowbiz - After Warner Bros. confirmed director Michelle MacLaren's departure from "Wonder Woman" movie, new report emerges detailing reasons of her exit. According to Badass Digest, MacLaren couldn't agree with the studio "on anything - including what time period to set the movie."
Moreover, the Emmy Award-winning producer for "Breaking Bad" is said to have had some visions for the film that could have alienated comic fans from the movie. One of the said ideas allegedly is that she wanted to give Princess Diana of Themyscira a tiger sidekick which she could talk with, though it's noted that the idea didn't sound bad.
However, DC Comics and Warner Bros. are attempting to create a grittier landscape with DC Cinematic Universe, and a tiger sidekick might not fit into this world.
WB announced MacLaren's departure from the project on Monday, April 13 with a statement which read, "Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together." No new director has been tapped to fill the vacant spot.
Gal Gadot has been cast as the female superheroine and will appear in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", which is due March 25, 2016, before getting her own solo movie, which is currently slated for release on June 23, 2017.
