Netflix has taken actions after learning that some of its subscribers can't enjoy its shows. Following a petition launched by blind fans that they might not be able to see "Daredevil" series, the streaming service has announced that it is adding audio-description tracks to the new Marvel series.

"Netflix is actively committed to increasing the number of audio-visual translations for movies and shows in our English-language catalogs," Tracy Wright, director of content operations at Netflix, wrote in a blog post. The streaming service will also add audio descriptions to other select titles, such as "House of Cards", "Orange Is the New Black", "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and "Marco Polo", in the next few weeks.

The audio-description track provides an additional narration describing characters, locations and actions in between dialogue of each episode. It will be available on all Netflix-supported devices, except for Apple TV, for which Apple is in the process of certifying.

Netflix also plans to add audio descriptions in non-English languages in the future.

Based on Marvel's comics, "Daredevil" follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer who uses his other senses at night to fight crime. It has been made available on Netflix since April 10.
