The masked killer is back haunting the teenagers of Lakewood in the official sneak peek of the new MTV series.

AceShowbiz - The first official trailer of MTV's "Scream" TV series was premiered during the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, April 12. The video opens with Bella Thorne stripping down to her bikini as she is getting ready to get into the pool. What is supposed to be a romantic night turns horrifying when she sees a severed head in the pool.
After that, a mysterious masked killer starts to terrorize other teenagers in the small city of Lakewood. Intriguing romance, teenagers' secrets and their partying habits are also going to serve as backdrops of the story.
Based on the slasher film franchise created by Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven, "Scream" TV series is set in high school and follows some students: shy popular girl Emma (Willa Fitzgerald), artsy loner Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus), computer geek Noah (John Karna), all-American athlete Will (Connor Weil), ferocious socialite Brooke (Carlson Young), and mysterious new kid Kieran (Amadeus Serafini). Jason Wiles replaces Joel Gretsch as Sheriff Clark Hudson (Kieran's father), while Tracy Middendorf plays Maggie.
Thorne will appear in the first episode. "I will re-enact the famous scene of Drew Barrymore in the original series," the actress previously dished on her appearance, hinting that she would appear in only one episode.
Originally slated to debut in October, the new horror series is now set to launch on June 30. Several short teasers for the show were also shared prior to the release of the trailer.
