The 'Hercules' director denies hooking up with the 'We Belong Together' hitmaker, saying that 'they have been best friends for a very long time.'

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey is not dating Brett Ratner despite rumor to the contrary. A representative for the "Hercules" helmer calls the dating rumor "ridiculous" and insists that his relationship with the diva is strictly platonic. "They have been best friends for a very long time," the rep told PEOPLE.
Brett was the director of Mariah's eight music videos including "Heartbreaker", "I Still Believe", and "We Belong Together". The dating rumor between the two coincidentally emerged as they are preparing for their birthday this weekend. He celebrates his birth one day after she has hers.
Mariah Carey split from husband of six years, Nick Cannon, in 2014. The "America's Got Talent" host has since moved on with Jessica White. Mariah and Nick have twin daughter and son, Monroe and Moroccan.
