The first official trailer for "Pixels" has just been debuted. Sony releases the trailer 2 days after unveiling its trailer preview on the film's Twitter account.

The newly released trailer gives a look at video games characters, like Pac-Man, Frogger, Donkey Kong, Qbert and more attacking Earth and how they ignite chaos everywhere. The film's leading actor Adam Sandler is featured in the trailer working hand in hand with fellow cast mates Michelle Monaghan, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, Kevin James, and Brian Cox to stop the attacks.

"Pixels", based on Patrick Jean's spectacular short film, tells about "a group of 80s arcade game champions who are called upon to help defend Earth from alien invaders who have misinterpreted our classic arcade games as a declaration of war." The Columbia Pictures' upcoming videogame action comedy flick is slated to be released on August 12 in the U.K. and July 24 in the U.S.
