Stephen King Raves Over Guillermo del Toro's 'Crimson Peak'
Movie

Both 'The Stand' write and his author son tweet positive reviews after getting treated to an early screening of the horror thriller starring Tim Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska.

AceShowbiz - Famed author Stephen King has watched Guillermo del Toro's "Crimson Peak", and he is pleasantly surprised by the movie. He even compares it to Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead". King's son Joe Hill, also an accomplished writer, enjoys the horror thriller as well.

"Was treated to a screening of Guillermo del Toro's new movie, CRIMSON PEAK, this weekend. Gorgeous and just fucking terrifying," King tweeted. "CRIMSON PEAK electrified me in the same way Sam Rami's EVIL DEAD electrified me when I saw it for the first time way back in the day."

"Remember that list I tweeted the other day, the 13 most beautiful horror films. CRIMSON PEAK is the most beautiful of all," Hill wrote. "CRIMSON PEAK is Del Toro's blood-soaked AGE OF INNOCENCE, a gloriously sick waltz through Daphne Du Maurier territory."

The film is due in North America on October 16. It stars Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam. Taking place in the 19th century England, it follows an aspiring author who discovers that her charming new husband is not who he appears to be.
