The death of a major character in "Star Wars" reportedly will be among things fans will see in the upcoming highly-anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". Making Star Wars has posted description of what happens in the J.J. Abrams-directed flick, suggesting that an original character will die.

[SPOILER ALERT!] According to a "most trusted" source in the production, Harrison Ford's Han Solo will be killed off by Kylo Ren. The incident reportedly takes place on the ramparts of The Evil Castle. Finn, Rey, Chewbacca and BB-8 are present during the scene.

Following the scene, "Chewbacca lets out of a barrage of angry roars and laser blasts" and Kylo flees. Finn and Rey have to save themselves as the Stormtroopers invade the area. BB-8 and Chewbacca, meanwhile, run to Falcon. Multiple explosions are teased during the sequence.

In addition to Ford, original stars Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will make appearance in the upcoming movie to be released on December 18. Other cast members include Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Daisy Ridley and Gwendoline Christie.
