The cable channel is finalizing a deal for a 13-episode fourth season of the drama starring Poppy Montgomery which was canceled twice by CBS.

"Unforgettable" is cheating death again. After being canceled twice by CBS, the police procedural series starring Poppy Montgomery may be picked up by A&E for a 13-episode fourth season. Deadline reports that the cable channel is currently finalizing the deal.
Lead actors Montgomery and Dylan Walsh are expected to be back reprising their roles as Detective Carrie Wells and her ex-boyfriend/partner Lieutenant Al Burns respectively. Series creators John Bellucci and Ed Redlich reportedly will also be back as executive producers, and so will executive producers Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly.
"Unforgettable" was first canceled by CBS in 2012 after only one season despite averaging 12.1 million viewers. The network later brought it back in 2013 for a summer run and renewed it for a third season. The drama was canceled for the second time in October 2014.
A&E recently canceled "Longmire", which is now revived by Netflix and ordered for a fourth season. The streaming service has had history of saving canceled shows, having previously picked up "The Killing" for a fourth and final season after the show was canceled twice by AMC.
