In addition to Shelton, "Ridiculous 6" nabs other popular names as the cast members. Nick Nolte, Taylor Lautner, comedian Whitney Cummings, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd, Will Forte, Nick Swardson, Terry Crews, Jon Lovitz and Vanilla Ice will appear in the movie alongside Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell and "Breaking Bad" star Lavell Crawford.

Sandler will serve as producer and co-writer with Tim Herlihy for the Netflix feature in addition to acting. Production is set to start in February.

According to the report, the movie will center on Sandler who grew up as an orphan among an Indian tribe. Crews, Lautner, Schneider and Wilson will play Sandler's half-brother, but the actor who plays another half-brother has not been decided. Nolte is Sandler's biological father, while Vanilla Ice portrays another real-life character, Mark Twain.
