Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian Fink are heading for divorce after 15 years of marriage. The couple released a statement on Friday, January 23, saying, "It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage. Our primary concern remains the wellbeing of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family's privacy at this very sensitive time."

Jillian was the one who filed for divorce from the "Grey's Anatomy" star, citing the usual irreconcilable differences as the reason of the split. According to TMZ, Jillian is requesting for joint custody for their three children, 12-year-old daughter Tallulah Fyfe, and 7-year-old twins Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen. She is also seeking for spousal and child support.

The couple who got married in 1999 reportedly did not have a prenup. Patrick is estimated to be worth around $40 million.

Sources close to the pair told the site, "It remains to be seen whether it will be amicable." The sources claimed Jillian "had a problem with his ego for a while now, which she thinks is out of control." One of the sources said, "She's all about the kids."
