Toby finds a knife that may reveal who 'A' is, but Spencer makes him promise not to tell anyone about it.

AceShowbiz - Toby makes a major finding in the next episode of "Pretty Little Liars". While searching around Mona's house, he finds a bloody knife that might be used by "A" and could reveal who the mysterious villain is.
But Spencer makes him promise not to tell anyone about the knife as Caleb believes that "A" may try to get it back. Spencer thinks the best way to make sure "A" doesn't get it back is to "make it not exist."
According to the official synopsis, Toby's new position in the Rosewood police department was to give the PLLs an upper hand on finally closing the door to Ali/"A's" game. But when a surprising bit of evidence show's up, Toby is put in a difficult position with his job and with Spencer. Not one to trust the police or evidence "surprisingly" showing up, Spencer tries to convince Toby to stray from his moral gut reaction, which puts stress on their relationship.
Meanwhile, Emily and Aria take drastic measures to keep control of situations that are out of their hands and that could affect their future.
"Fresh Meat" airs Tuesday, January 13 at 8/7c on ABC Family.
Showrunner Marlene King recently told E! News that Toby's new new job as a cop would impact his relationship with Spencer in a big way. "Toby really becomes kind of obsessed with finding out who 'A' is and that really puts a damper on his relationship with Spencer to some degree because she finds him so dedicated to that that he's often unavailable to her," she said.
