After taking a break from music due to her second pregnancy, Christina Aguilera is coming back with new music. According to the BMI Repertoire, the singer recently registered her comeback single called "Waves".

The former Disney star's new track was co-written by Maggie Chapman, David Hall Hodges and Meghan Shahnaz Kabir. Currently having no exact release date, the song is expected to come out in early 2015.

After giving birth to her second child, her first with fiance Matthew Rutler, Aguilera has been cooking up new material for her new album. The follow-up to 2012's "Lotus" may also arrive next year.

Aguilera is additionally gearing up to reprise her role as a coach in the eighth season of "The Voice". She'll join Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams as she replaces last season's coach Gwen Stefani.

Back in October, she teased her upcoming projects for 2015 on Twitter, saying, "New baby. New Music. New season of @NBCtheVoice. Bringing #FireAndFun to all, can't wait for 2015!"
