Costner brushes his granddaughter's hair, takes her to school and welcomes her friends at his home in the trailer for the drama set for release on January 30.

AceShowbiz - Kevin Costner takes care of his biracial granddaughter and fights for her custody in a trailer of "Black or White". Relativity Media released the two-and-a-half minute video on Tuesday, December 2, showing the actor's widowed grandfather character as he spends his days with his young granddaughter Eloise.

He ends up raising the girl alone after Eloise's mother and grandmother passed away. He can be seen telling the girl to brush her teeth, taking her to school, brushing her hair and tying a ribbon in the clip. One day, Eloise's paternal grandmother files for custody of the girl and Costner is forced to fight her in court where they eventually touch racial issues.

"Do you dislike black people?" Costner is asked in a court meeting. "Not all of them," he replies. The touching clip also hears the award-winning star saying, "This isn't about black and white. This is about Eloise."

Jillian Estell plays Eloise in the drama while Octavia Spencer portrays her grandmother. The pic, which will hit U.S. theaters on January 30, also stars "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" actor Anthony Mackie, Jennifer Ehle ("The King's Speech") and Gillian Jacobs ("Community") among others.
