Mama June Shannon has broken up with Mark McDaniel, the convicted child molester who sexually assaulted her daughter Anna Cardwell during their relationship years ago. She is now trying to mend her relationship with Sugar Bear, the father of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson.
Sugar Bear has reportedly moved back in with Shannon at the family's house. The "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" matriarch told TMZ they're "working on the relationship," but she didn't consider themselves "back together." She's aware it would "take a lot of work" to regain his trust.
Shannon reportedly started rekindling romance with McDaniel after he was released from jail in March. Their relationship was uncovered only after they were caught on camera in bed and house hunting together. It sparked backlash and led to the cancellation of the family's reality show by TLC.
Shannon initially denied the rumor despite the photographic evidence of their outings, but now she admits it. "I'm human, I made mistakes and done wrong, but no one is perfect," she expresses her regret. The mother of four says she no longer has any contact with her ex.
