A new Pharrell Williams song will be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming movie "Paddington". The Weinstein Company announced on Monday, November 24 that the Grammy Award-winning musician and his frequent collaborator Gwen Stefani had recorded an original song called "Shine".

"Pharrell and Gwen are the perfect artistic duo and they truly brought to life the charm that Paddington represents in the terrific song 'Shine'," the company's Bob Weinstein said. "We are so proud to have them be a part of this classic film."

Pharrell and Gwen, who have worked together on a number of hits including "Hollaback Girl" for the No Doubt frontwoman's 2004 solo effort, are both excited to be a part of the "Paddington" movie, which is hitting theaters in the U.S. and Canada on January 16.

"What a wonderful opportunity, as a parent, to contribute to something as classic, authentic and generational to all of our lives, as Paddington Bear," the super producer said in a statement. Gwen added, "I am honored to join forces with Pharrell and be part of bringing this beloved classic to life for Paddington's next big adventure."

Pharrell is no stranger to contributing to a movie's soundtrack. Last year, he created "Happy" for "Despicable Me 2". The song, which also appears on his latest solo album "G I R L", hit the top spot of Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for an Oscar.
