Ridley Scott assures fans that there won't be any shortage of creepy, strange creatures in "Prometheus 2". He is set to introduce a new species for the sequel after deciding to leave out Xenomorph, the iconic monster from the original "Alien" movie.

"The alien's real which is why it's probably one of the scariest monsters in film history," Scott explained in an interview with The Australian. The director went on, "So with 'Prometheus 2' what I'm trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act."

Scott won't bring back the Xenomorph because he felt it was "overused." "There's only so much snarling you can do," he previously said. "I think you've got to come back with something more interesting. And I think we've found the next step. I thought the Engineers were quite a good start."
