The streaming service has scrapped its plan to debut 'Bill Cosby 77' on the day after Thanksgiving as several victims of sexual abuses allegedly committed by the actor have spoken up.

The resurfaced rape allegations against Bill Cosby have derailed his gigs. Following the cancellation of his scheduled appearance on "Late Show with David Letterman", Netflix has just announced that it postponed the launch of the veteran actor's stand-up comedy special "Bill Cosby 77", which was originally set to debut a day after Thanksgiving.

"At this time we are postponing the launch of the new stand up comedy special 'Bill Cosby 77'," a spokeswoman for Netflix says in a statement. Cosby's publicist, David Brokaw, tells CNN that the former "The Cosby Show" star was in agreement with Netflix's decision to postpone the special.

The postponement comes after Janice Dickinson followed the footsteps of two other ladies to open up about the alleged sexual assault she suffered at the hands of Cosby. The supermodel claimed she was raped by the comedian in 1982.

A new sitcom, on which Cosby is set to star, is currently in development at NBC. The network recently said the project remained in active development although pressure has been mounting on the network to cancel it.
