Honey Boo Boo a.k.a. Alana Thompson's grandmother Sandra Hale is speaking up after news that her sister Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell was abused by Mama June Shannon's alleged boyfriend, a convicted child offender, hit the web recently. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hale recalled the moments following the sex abuse and revealed that the child services was investigating the family.

Earlier this month, TMZ reported that Mama June rekindled her relationship with a child molester named Mark McDaniel after he was released from his 10-year jail term earlier this year. Mama June denied that she dated him and that her children's safety would be her priority. Later, Cardwell shared that McDaniel abused her when she was eight years old.

"I took her to the police station and filed the charges on her behalf because she was a minor. I was looking out for her best interests and I wasn't going to let this go away," Hale said of Cardwell following the horrible ordeal. "What my reaction was is I wanted to kill him."

Hale, who believes that Honey Boo Boo is in danger because of Mama June's relationship with McDaniel, refused to share what she discussed with the child services when they contacted her on October 29. "The only thing I can tell you is that I said to please look into it carefully and closely. They assured me they would," she said.

The 20-year-old Cardwell, who is now married, also opened up about the abuse with ET on Thursday, October 30. "She's smiling and giggling when he's around," she said of Mama June. "You know, he's a child molester, Mama. He did this to me. Why would you let him come around the girls knowing what he did? And reportedly done it to another girl? And Mama was like, 'Oh, he never done it to another girl.' "

When asked what she wanted to tell him if she were to see him in person, Cardwell replied, "I would look at him in disgust and spit in his face and say, 'You f***ing leave or I'm gonna call the cops. You're not supposed to be here, you know what you did."
