The musician has been forced to pull out of eight gigs on the tour, including two stops at his own B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York.

B.B. King has canceled the remaining dates on his tour after he fell ill following a concert at Chicago's House of Blues on Friday, October 3. According to a statement on his official website, the blues legend was diagnosed with dehydration and exhaustion.

"He was immediately evaluated by a doctor and diagnosed with dehydration and suffering from exhaustion whereby causing the eight remaining shows of his current tour to be canceled," read the statement posted over the weekend.

The eight canceled gigs include stops at King's own B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York. He was supposed to play there on October 12 and 13.

No other details on King's condition have been revealed.

This isn't the first time in the past few months King's health has affected his performance. Back in April, the 89-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer played a disappointing concert at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis. His rep subsequently apologized and explained the erratic performance in a statement.

"The combination of the rigors of the very long drive and high blood sugar due to his medication error resulted in a performance that did not match Mr. King's usual standard of excellence," it read. King has been suffering from Type II diabetes for two decades.
