TV

Another DC Comics character is heading to small screen. "Lucifer", based on the eponymous Vertigo comic of the same name, has been given a put-pilot commitment on FOX.

"Lucifer" centers around the Lord of Hell after he grows bored and unhappy with the position, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles. He then opens an exclusive piano bar called Lux.

The one-hour drama pilot comes from "Californication" creator Tom Kapinos. Aggressive Mediocrity and Warner Bros. Television are producing. Under the deal, FOX will have to pay the studios a significant monetary penalty if it does not air the pilot, which only means that a pick up is guaranteed.

FOX already has "Gotham" in line for this Fall's program schedule. Other DC Comics titles such as "Teen Titans" and "Supergirl" are also being adapted to TV series.
