AceShowbiz - Entertainment industry is losing another talented actor. Accomplished Chicago theater and television actress Molly Glynn died on Saturday, September 6, a day after getting struck by a fallen tree on her head during a storm.

The 46-year-old, who played a recurring role as a doctor on "Chicago Fire", was riding a bicycle with her husband Joe Foust on the Forest Preserve Trail in Erickson Woods when the tragic accident happened on Friday. She was taken to Evanston Hospital in Chicago where she died the following day from her injuries.

Foust posted on Facebook about the accident on Friday, "Friends, this is the darkest day of my life. Things will never be the same. Molly got hit by a falling tree while we were biking. At hospital now. Prognosis is grim."

He later updated his Facebook page with the sad news, writing, "I couldn't save her. I couldn't save her. She's gone." He also thanked everyone for their support and encouraged others to "love hard, people. Love hard."

Michael Halberstam, artistic director of Writers Theatre in Chicago, said in a statement, "She was a loving mother and wife and everyone who met her fell in love with her. She possessed a rare combination of talent, heart and beauty in all aspects of her life." Halberstam called Glynn's death "an incalculable loss."

David Rice, the executive director of First Folio Theatre and a family friend, remembered Glynn as "loving and generous" and an "incredibly talented" actress. "Chicago Fire" star Christian Stolte took to Twitter to pay tribute, writing, "Fans of #ChicagoFire will remember Molly Glynn as the lovely ER doctor. Suddenly, horrifically, she is gone."

Glynn, who also appeared in episodes of "Boss" and "Early Edition", is survived by two teenage sons in addition to her husband. A Give Forward campaign has been set up to raise money to help Foust pay for medical and funeral expenses and to support his children. It has collected $114,000 of its goal of $125,000.
