The former teen idol pleads guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated in New York.

AceShowbiz - David Cassidy struck a plea deal in his DWI case in upstate New York. The 64-year-old actor returned to court on Wednesday, September 3 to enter a guilty plea to a misdemeanor drunk driving charge.

David was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service and to install ignition interlock device on his cars. According to D.A., the former teen idol already completed an alcohol treatment program and in November judge would have to decide whether or not David would need more programs.

David was arrested in Schodack, NY last year after being pulled over for driving with his high-beams on when he wasn't supposed to. At that time, test showed his blood alcohol level was 0.10, above the legal limit of .08.

David pled no contest to a drunk driving charge in Los Angeles back in March. He was then sentenced to complete a three-month rehab and a five-year probation. He was also slapped with fines and ordered to attend a nine-month alcohol education program.
