The Japan-owned studio will digitally alter the military buttons seen in the movie starring Seth Rogen and James Franco, and cut off a face-melting scene.

Sony initially seemed to shrug off North Korea's criticism over Kim Jong-Un assassination movie "The Interview", but the studio apparently now has second thoughts. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony will make some changes to the film.
Thousands of buttons worn by military characters will be digitally altered because the ones seen in the comedy are the same exact buttons "worn by North Korean military to honor the country's leader, Kim Jong Un, 31, and his late father, Kim Jong Il."
The American entertainment subsidiary of Japanese multinational company will also likely cut a scene which features Kim Jong Un's face being melted off graphically in slow motion. The country's leader is played by actor Randall Park in the movie.
"The Interview" is slammed by North Korea's representative as "the most blatant act of terrorism and war." Directed by Evan Goldberg and Rogen who are both Canadians, the action comedy has been moved from October 10 to December 25 this year.
