"The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" gets the first trailer. It sees the world's favorite sea dwelling invertebrate coming ashore to the human world for his most super-heroic adventure yet. He is accompanied by his famous friends like Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy.

Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence, and Mr. Lawrence, the regular voice cast from the TV series, are back for the 3D flick. Antonio Banderas plays the bad pirate, and Slash makes a cameo which is teased in the trailer.

Their trip to the human world is to get back the secret recipe stolen by the pirate. Before reclaiming the recipe, the gang steals the pirate's magic book and rewrites themselves as superheroes. SpongeBob's powers have something to do with bubble, while Squidward's strength is ice cream which turns out to be his weakness as well.

The movie will hit theaters February next year.
