LeAnn Rimes and Kevin Nealon Witness 'Horrible' Plane Crash in Colorado

Nealon documents the fatal crash in his Twitter feeds, saying the plane 'exploded into flames as it was landing' and helps were on the way shortly after the accident.

AceShowbiz - LeAnn Rimes and Kevin Nealon were among witnesses of a fatal plane crash which took place at the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, Colorado. The singer and the comedian were at the airport on Sunday, January 5 and saw the twin-engine Bombardier Challenger 600 crashed as it landed.

"So sad! Horrible plane crash we just saw happen at the Aspen airport," Rimes tweeted about the accident. Nealon, meanwhile, gave more detailed account concerning the accident. "Horrible plane crash here at Aspen airport. Exploded into flames as it was landing," he said in one post. "Fire truck and ambulances were on the scene within minutes."

"Airport is closed now. I think I'll drive back to LA after seeing that," he continued. When another user asked if he witnessed the accident, the comedian replied, "YES, horrible!!"

NBC News reports that one person died following the fiery crash which took place at 12:30 P.M. (2:30 P.M. ET). According to the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office, the plane carried three passengers. The other two were treated at Aspen Valley Hospital. One of them was said in fair condition by late afternoon, while the other one was in critical condition.
