Chris Pratt in Talks to Lead 'Jurassic World'
Movie

The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' actor is eyed to play a male lead role previously earmarked for Josh Brolin.

Chris Pratt is circling a role in "Jurassic World". The "Parks and Recreation" actor is in early negotiations to play a male lead, a rugged ex-military man, in the upcoming fourth installment of "Jurassic Park" movie franchise.

The coveted role was previously linked to Josh Brolin. The "Gangster Squad" star was also rumored in early talks for the movie back then but the negotiations didn't get far, and the same could happen with "Zero Dark Thirty (2012)" hunk Pratt.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow with Steven Spielberg as an executive producer, the film stars Bryce Dallas Howard as a smart corporate scientist, and Ty Simpkins & Nick Robinson as her nephews. It will be released in U.S. theaters on June 12, 2015.

Pratt, 34, will next be seen in Vin Vaughn's comedy "Delivery Man" and Spike Jonze's sci-fi romance "Her". He also lends his voice in "The Lego Movie" and leads Marvel's superhero flick "Guardians of the Galaxy".
