A teaser trailer of Jake Gyllenhaal-starring thriller "Enemy" has been released along with an official poster following the movie's debut at the Toronto International Film Festival last week. It introduces the "Source Code" actor as disheveled history professor Adam Bell.

The clip shows his everyday routine that consists of giving lectures at the university and going home to his beautiful girlfriend. As the gloomy scenes are played out, he can be heard explaining to his class how dictatorships tend to censor any means of self-expression to keep people under control.

Based on 2002's novel "The Double" by late Nobel Prize-winning author Jose Saramago, the Denis Villeneuve-directed pic will follow Adam as he tracks down his doppelganger after spotting him in a movie. The identical men meet, and their lives become bizarrely and irrevocably intertwined.

The film hasn't got a U.S. release date.
