Atlanta-based hip-hop act Goodie Mob has just unveiled a music video of their latest single "Special Education" featuring R'n'B/soul singer Janelle Monae. The song appears on their forthcoming reunion album "Age Against the Machine" due on August 27. Cee-Lo Green, Khujo, T-Mo and Big Gipp along with Monae return to school for the setting of their funky collaboration's visuals which celebrates individuality, the subject on which the new song revolves around.

The four-minute plus, John Colombo-directed clip co-stars younger version of the Southern hip-hop group who raps along to the verses over the industrial beat as they are filmed around campus. Monae's mini-me, complete with signature pompadour, then mouths the mellow hook along with her.

The chorus, delivered exquisitely by the "Q.U.E.E.N." singer, beautifully sums up the song's empowering message. "I don't wear the clothes you wear/ I'm just different and I don't care/ It's kind of sad and it's a shame/ Everyone wants to be the same/ If you are listening here and now/ I'm sure I can show you how/ It's ok to be afraid/ Don't you want to be special?"

Monae is thrilled to be collaborating with the veteran rap quartet. "I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and I grew up on OutKast, I grew up on Goodie Mob, I grew up on Dungeon Family, so the fact that they're coming back with music that is jamming and that I get to be a part of it, it's just such an honor," she gushed.
